By now, most coaches agree the game is mostly mental, but HOW do we do more mental training? We’re limited on time as it is! Plus who knows where to start? We went through these same questions.

Fortunately, we kept at it, completed further education, and figured out a way to not only do more mental training, but do it EVERY day! Without taking away from other things we needed to work on either.

Our mission is to teach passionate, dedicated coaches how to build mentally tough teams, just like we do! What better way to show you how than to follow Alicia’s team for an entire season as we go through the Dream Team Blueprint!

We’ll discuss:

  • The core values of the Mattawan program, from Alicia’s perspective as the program leader.
  • Using the Athlete Types assessment to help a team of half new players to get to know each other faster.
  • Exploring the team and individual “why” they play.
  • How to do more mental training by working daily process goals into the practice plan.

Phenomenal information

As a new coach that believes in the mental game being so important, the podcasts and group discussions online have been amazing. Thank you ladies so much! Just knowing that the day to day struggles and doubts are felt by so many others has been remarkably reassuring. Thank you for what you are giving to others in the sport.

Mental Toughness

As a softball coach and a teacher, I appreciate all of the strategies and advice that Melanie shares each week!
